Fireworks on the National Mall will begin at dark, which is usually around 9pm.
Alexandria: Oronoco Bay Park, 100 Madison St., Alexandria, Virginia. Celebrate Alexandria’s birthday and the United States’ birthday on July 13, from 7 to 10pm. Enjoy fireworks along the Potomac waterfront at 9:30pm.
Fairfax: The Independence Day Parade on July 4th goes through the downtown area from 10am-12pm. Musical entertainment starts at 6:30pm at Fairfax High School with a spectacular fireworks display at 9:30pm.
Herndon: Bready Park, Herndon Community Center, 814 Ferndale Ave., Herndon, Virginia. 703-787-7300. Games, bingo, and crafts begin at 6:30pm. Music starts at 7:15pm. Fireworks are at 9:30pm.
Leesburg: Ida Lee Park, Rt. 15 (King Street) and Ida Lee Drive, Leesburg, Virginia. 703-777-1368. On July 4th, an independence day parade will begin at 10am at Ida Lee Park. Concert and fireworks that evening, gates open at 6pm, music at 6:30pm and fireworks will begin at 9:30pm.
Manassas: 9431 West Street, Manassas, Virginia. 703-335-8872. Celebrate America on July 4th from 3-10pm. Enjoy live music, children’s activities, food, and fireworks. Fireworks at 9:15pm.
Vienna: Yeonas Park, 1319 Ross Drive SW, Vienna, Virginia. Sprinklers and sparklers from 10am-2pm. Live music begins at 7:15pm and fireworks begin at dark.
